The Stables Bed & Breakfast is situated in the grounds of Donnelly's Cottage. The main house was built in 1907 and was the  residence for the keeper of Donnelly's Weir , a small body of water constructed in 1896 as part of Melbourne's first water catchment.

The B and B,pictured above, was built in 2003 .

The original house has undergone sympathetic renovation and restoration. The garden has been extensively developed and has been a participant in Australia's Open Garden Scheme.
